Introducing Lightpoint

Shubhankar Kahali

Today, we’re announcing the launch of Lightpoint.

Lightpoint is an AI-powered recruitment and talent acquisition system built to operate inside real organizations, under real constraints, and over long time horizons. It represents the first applied system to emerge from our work at LastArray—taking our research on reasoning, behavior, and decision reliability and translating it into production infrastructure for hiring.

Hiring is one of the highest-impact decisions organizations make, yet it is still supported by tools optimized for activity rather than judgment. Speed is measured, volume is tracked, but the quality and durability of decisions are harder to see. Over time, these systems degrade quietly as markets shift, roles evolve, and human behavior adapts to the process itself.

Lightpoint was built with a different goal: to improve the quality of hiring decisions, not just their throughput.

At its core, Lightpoint treats recruitment as a decision system rather than a workflow. It operates as an agentic intelligence layer across sourcing, screening, engagement, and market analysis—working continuously instead of reactively. Teams describe the talent they need in plain language, and the system interprets intent, searches broadly across global talent networks, and produces ranked shortlists in hours rather than weeks.

Screening is handled by autonomous AI agents designed to scale without collapsing context. Lightpoint conducts structured phone interviews, analyzes resumes and work history across dozens of dimensions, and generates role-specific technical and behavioral assessments. The emphasis is not on producing a single score, but on surfacing how candidates reason, adapt, and align with the demands of the role.

Candidate engagement is treated as an ongoing interaction, not a one-way broadcast. Lightpoint generates personalized outreach and maintains intelligent, two-way conversations at scale, while preserving a consistent employer voice. This allows organizations to engage meaningfully with far more candidates without increasing recruiter load.

Beyond individual hires, Lightpoint functions as a real-time talent intelligence system. It provides live visibility into compensation benchmarks, supply-and-demand dynamics, and competitive hiring activity across global markets. This enables organizations to plan hiring decisions proactively, grounded in current conditions rather than delayed reports.

Before today’s public launch, Lightpoint was developed and refined in stealth with complex, high-stakes organizations including L3Harris, Intel, and Knorr-Bremse. These deployments shaped the system’s design around durability, interpretability, and long-term reliability—principles that are central to our work at LastArray.

Lightpoint reflects our broader belief that intelligence alone is not enough. AI systems that participate in human decisions must be designed as complete systems, with careful attention to data integrity, uncertainty, human interaction, and how behavior changes over time. Trust is not created by impressive outputs, but by consistent behavior under changing conditions.

This launch marks a step toward building hiring infrastructure that organizations can rely on—not just to move faster, but to decide better.
